Catching up a bit, Monday was a 1000 yard swim, nothing fancy. This morning I got out for a brief easy run of 2 miles. But the big workout of the week was tonight's swim.
I did a straight 2500, in 43 minutes. I never would have guessed where my failure point would be. At about 2000 yards in, my left hand couldn't hold flat against the water. My fingers would split and twist and I kept losing my grip on the water. I just tried to relax my hand a bit, let my fingers split a little, and it got better at the end. But my left forearm is pretty sore now.
Swimming to a failure point? Is that wise?
